Retrofitting a Model 644H for Use in an Existing Threaded Sensor

Connection Head

To mount a Model 644H in an existing threaded sensor connection head (former

option code L1), order the Model 644H retrofit kit (part number 00644-5321-0010).

The retrofit kit includes a new mounting bracket and all associated hardware

necessary to facilitate the installation of the Model 644H in the existing head (see

Figure 2-15).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURES

Transmitter

Installation consists of attaching a thermowell to the pipe or process container wall,

assembling any necessary extensions, connection heads, or junction boxes, and

making electrical connections. Refer to the appropriate procedure and the

accompanying illustrations when installing the transmitter.
